Coreopsis Daybreak Description

New! Coreopsis Daybreak is the best yet!  Talk about striking color, mildew resistance, long bloom time and a reliable source of color in the garden!

Daybreak has low water needs and can thrive from poor to rich soil.  This sun loving drought proof groundcover will help transform trouble spots in your garden while providing easy to grow beauty!

Daybreak is a clump forming hybrid. Hundreds of showy 2" single golden yellow daisy-like blooms have a super wide red band around the yellow center on top of healthy, mid green threadleaf foliage.  Talk about eye-catching -- even from across the garden!

At only 8-10" tall, it will grow to an impressive 18" wide!  Ideal for containers, edging, or in front of the border!

Blooming begins in early summer and continues well into the cool months of fall.

They love full sun and take the heat & drought effortlessly. Tightly packed with lots of branching, there is no pampering required! Deer leave it alone, but butterflies find it irresistible.

Use as a groundcover to flow around other plants such as long-blooming red-flowered KnockOut Roses, blue-flowered Geranium Rozanne groundcover, drought-proof Sedums!

Special Features: Blooms First Year, Butterfly Lovers, Deer Resistant, Drought Tolerant, Easy Care, Everblooming, Fast Growing, Heat Tolerant, Long Blooming, Mildew Resistant, Pest Resistant,Rabbit Resistant, Reblooming

PLANTING GUIDE

Soil: Plant in moist, well drained soil. Thrives in a wide range of soils.
Light: Full Sun
Water: Average to Moist. Water weekly, or more often in extreme heat, until established. Watering may be reduced after establishment.
Spacing: 12-16 inches
Fertilizing: Seldom needs fertilizing if soil is good to average. On very poor soils, can feed lightly with a general purpose, or timed release fertilizer (such as "Osmocote"), before new growth begins in spring.
Winterizing: No special care needed. Remove spent foliage in spring before new growth appears.
Maintenance & Pruning: For repeated bloom, shear old flowers.
