Plant Spacing

Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:

Not deer resistant!

I love, love, love Great Garden Plants!! I have ordered multiple times from them and bought many plants. Plants always arrive healthy! These were no different. However, they are not very deer resistant as was mentioned in the description. All of these plants were eaten down to nubs by our local deer before I even had a chance to plant them unfortunately. So there's different levels to "deer resistant." Hopefully they will grow back.

The best decision

Having never tried to grow red hot pokers, i was more than pleasantly surprised by these plants. After receiving them in great shape, they began to bloom almost immediately. So healthy and I’m really looking forward to next year’s bloom season.

Keeps giving me flowers

I assumed that after the initial flowers died (the ones that were already sprouting when I received the plant via mail) I would have to wait till next year for new ones. Boy was I wrong. It kept producing more once the plant became established. Highly recommend.
