Love this!

I love my Berry Smoothie coral bells. It came very healthy and the color was bright and rich. I have ordered several plants of different types from here and every single one has been awesome.

🤔

May be getting too much sun.

Lovely addition

Plants from GGP are always super healthy and vigorous. These coral bells are no exception.

Leggy and not thriving.

I ordered one of these Berry Smoothies and two of the Wildberry coral bells. The Wildberry plants arrived in great shape and excellent colour, but the Berry Smoothy arrived looking a little worse for wear. It was a dirty grayish mauve and had 8 or 9 leaves, each on a 12" long stems. Very leggy and not at all attractive. I put all three in a planter that receives filtered early morning light, bright shade through out the day, and direct late afternoon sun. The Wildberry variety are thriving. They have both put on numerous leaves and the purple colour is very saturated. The Berry Smoothy is not doing as well. It's situated between the two other Coral bells in the planter and receives the same light and fertilizer, but is only just now (several weeks later) starting to show some new leaf growth. The colour is not great, the leaves look like old raw hamburger with mottled pink and gray. I had a coral bell years ago that had a cinder block dropped on it when it was young and struggled to survive that year, but the following year it came back strong and did very well. I am hoping that the Berry Smoothie will be similar and if it survives this year, it will come back thriving next year. I gave it it fewer stars because it's a fairly expensive plant and I would expect something like that to arrive in better shape. The leaves were so long and leggy it was obvious that it wasn't a stellar plant before it was even packaged and sent to me.
