Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

I water every other day, but it doesn’t seem to be enough. I’m going to use a soaker hose tomorrow. Maybe that will help. Any suggestions?
Oh no, we are sorry to hear the temperatures are so high there! Provide plants with long and slow water that will saturate deep within the soil. That is better than watering for quick bouts and more often, or only wetting the top few inches of soil. Watering during the evening or morning before a heat wave is due to hit is the best time to do so. Providing water well before the peak heat of the day will give them ample time to soak up the water.
If this does not help, remember that you are covered under a 60 day warranty, imply send us a photo of your plant, your order number, and a brief description of the problem within 60 days of receipt of your order. While we do not accept returns, we are happy to issue refunds.
I love this plant. The combination of the purple and white flowers is so pretty
Like all of the plants I get from GGP, this was beautifully packaged and arrived in perfect condition (though I WISH they’d make it easier to get the plastic off). These salvia are magical…a beautiful true bright blue with white tips. They bloom and bloom and are the absolute favorite of the honeybees. They’ve spread so nicely since last year and truly are a standout in my garden.
Looked kinda horrible when they arrived. They’re a little better now that they’re planted.
