Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

'Sweet Sandia' Coneflower
I've emailed them. I ordered two plants. Super small dont waste your money. One is ok the other one is dying with brown leaves.
They told me it looks like I over watered it by the look of the ground .Lol ! No! I just watered it before I took a picture. Explain to me why the other one next to it is doing ok, but that one is brown and dying? I'm so disappointed..
Hi! I apologize for any inconvenience, I just reviewed your order and it looks like you were refunded for the bad plant. You should see the refund in 5-7 business days.
I can't wait for the buds to open on this unusual Coneflower! She came to me well packaged and very healthy! Thank you once again, Great Garden Plants! My Coneflowers are striking colors among all of my roses!
Planted these Spring of 2022 - 6 plants, great root system, normal quart size. This is them a year and a few months later. Excellent. The flower is a really cool combination of color on sturdy stems. Pollinators adore them.
I am a big fan of GGP - of all the plants I have received (which is a lot) VERY few haven’t made it and of course they have refunded the cost of those. I prefer receiving smaller plants to give them time to mature in my landscape. GGP provides the roots and the plants do the growing here. It’s worked pretty great.
I’m in zone 8a - coastal Virginia.
Received my two “Sweet Sandia” and one “Orange You Awesome”
The plants came PERFECTLY packaged. I am very impressed with the shipping, packaging, and presentation of my plants.
They’re healthy, full, and budding.
So happy that I’m in the process of placing another order!!! Yay me!
