Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Lots of the most beloved fragrant plants bloom in spring and early summer; they’re the perfect way to welcome back the growing season and the return of spending time outdoors. We’re sharing some of our all-time favorite fragrant plants in spring here. Plant them and create your own fragrant memories this season!
These arrived looking healthy and with a good shape. I have planted them, and the little white pom poms make me happy :0)
The plants were carefully packaged and healthy and they arrived per the ship date that I requested. The planting sites were already dug, so they took up residence immediately and they have done beautifully. All 3 shrubs are exhibiting new growth and the foliage is healthy. I am excited to watch the leaves turn to the red color in the fall, and produce their blossoms next spring!
Very well packaged, probably the only plant I bought online all season that arrived in good condition. Lovely, healthy and surviving. Very Happy Customer
The plants arrived securely packaged and in very good shape. Planted them several weeks ago and they are thriving. The price was good too
Like all the other ‘Great Garden’ plants, this one never grew. Though this plant looked the healthiest on arrival, several branches wilted and died in the following weeks - and the poor thing hasn’t grown at all since then. I was looking forward to supporting my local pollinators, but it looks like I’ll be trying other stores in the future.
