Veronica Tidal Pool Description

Few other ground covers are as easy and adaptable as Veronica Tidal Pool.  Tidal Pool  is a fast spreading evergreen groundcover that grows up to 30" wide in a single season! At only 3 inches tall, it is a real beauty!

In early to mid May, hundreds of brilliant blue blooms, each starred with a white center, are a standout against the silver highlighted bright green foliage. Plants have a light repeat bloom from late June into late September.

This brand new introduction is receiving rave reviews! Bred by the renowned Dr. Jim Ault of the Chicago Botanical Gardens, you won't believe how quickly it takes off to make itself at home in your garden.

Tidal Pool is very tolerant of adversity from rain and cold to heat, humidity and drought. This carefree drought tolerant groundcoveronly needs are sunshine and good soil drainage.

Tidal Pool Veronica is lovely in drifts or as a groundcover or edging plant.  It has demonstrated good salt tolerance, so it is ideal for lining driveways and walkways.  Tidal Pool would make a good bluegrass lawn substitute in dryland states. Tidal Pool tolerates light foot traffic and a range of soil ph from 6.6-8.5.

PLANTING GUIDE

Soil: Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil.
Light: Full sun, but will tolerate light shade in the South.
Water: Best performance occurs with consistent, regular moisture with sharp soil drainage (particularly in winter).
Spacing: 12"
Fertilizing: Feed with a general purpose slow release fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.
Winterizing: If not cut back in summer, prune down to basal growth in late autumn.
Maintenance & Pruning: To keep tidy plants, shear back by 1/2 after flowering.  This plant can be easily propagated by dividing clumps in spring.
