Soil - Plants for Acidic & Alkaline Soil

Soil - Plants for Acidic & Alkaline Soil

The majority of plants grow best when the soil pH ranges between 6.5 and 7.0. A pH lower than 6.5 is called acid and over 7.0 is referred to as alkaline. Plants for alkaline soil tolerate mildly alkaline soil up to 7.5. Keep in mind any soil type can benefit from adding organic matter to improve fertility and drainage.
