Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Three small plants arrived with a healthy root system. Within two weeks they have flourished, grown in size, and are even starting to bloom already. I couldn’t be more pleased and highly recommend Great Garden Plants and Morello Hummingbird Mint!
I ordered 2 Morello Hummingbird mints about a month ago. So far, it looks like one of the plants is going to live and the other one more than likely won't. It hasn't completely died yet, but the leaves wilt and are dead around the edges. Not really sure what happened, but at the time I transplanted them, we had an extreme heat wave and no rain for months. It was incredibly dry and hot, and I watered them often. I'm not unhappy with Great Garden Plants. Both plants arrived in a very timely manner, and both appeared to be in good shape, so it may have been my fault, or just that the weather wasn't conducive for the initial transplant. I keep cutting the dead leaves and stems back to healthy but am running out of plant. So far though, it's still fighting...Fingers crossed!
Looking good! Thank you
Needed a bit of color among salvias. Wasn't sure at first as it was cold and rainy. Now that the warm weather is here is has blossomed beautifully.
Apologies. I said in a previous review that I ordered the purple dome aster from you. I actually ordered that one elsewhere. The hummingbird mint is beautiful and is growing quickly. Love it!
