Cotinus Winecraft Black® Description
Deep purple smokebush brings drama to summer time! Winecraft Black® smokebush (Cotinus coggygria) is an outstanding selection from the folks at Proven Winners ColorChoice Shrubs. Its foliage starts out a waxy purple and as summer goes on, it deepens to near-black. In mid-summer, panicles of those amazing, misty, smoke-like blooms cover the plant and last for several weeks. It provides tons of impact with nearly zero work on your part! Winecraft Black smokebush is also denser than other types, so it provides more coverage.
We love its strong, deep color paired with dark greens, pinks, and reds, but you’ll find all sorts of ways to use it in your garden or landscape. Orange fall foliage creates another opportunity for a stunning statement.
