Punica Peppy Le Pom™ Description
AVAILABLE MID JUNE 2020!
Pep up summer with the bright, bold blooms of Peppy Le Pom™ ornamental pomegranate (Punica granatum). It’s a pocket-sized pomegranate, reaching just a fraction of the size of traditional types. That makes it perfect for landscaping, as well as creating topiaries or growing as a houseplant. Pointy, tiny leaves set off dozens of blazing orange blooms that emerge from waxy bases. Long after the petals have fallen, each plant develops into a tough little pomegranate for added ornamental appeal.
Even if you live in a climate that’s too cold to grow pomegranate outdoors all year, you can still enjoy this unique selection from Proven Winners. It’s perfect in containers! Just put it out in the bright sunshine during the summer and keep it in your coolest, brightest spot indoors in winter. It can be trained into neat herbal topiaries or implemented in traditional fall décor. It’s a beautiful plant with a truly storied history – there’s so many reasons to grow this pomegranate!
