Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Spent $115. Don't consider it even close to "almost maintenance-free", as we went from a period of doing well and then immediately struggling. Color was pretty, but only close up, not from a distance, as advertised. Loved the blooms when they arrived. And, although I planted them at the front of a flower bed in a small area and knew them to be ground cover, I was expecting them to have more height which did not happen because they didn't do well. I'm in Zone 7B, very disappointed and would not buy again.
I love the plant but several of them have died. At first I lost four and they was replaced. Now several more have died. I think they are to small to survive the heat.

I ordered 6 Plum Dazzled stonecrop. They all arrived in great condition, full and healthy. I had to wait a week before planting because of the weather but they are all doing great and have lots of new growth already. Very happy.
I’ve had mixed luck with these. I’ve ordered quite a few. All arrived in healthy condition, but about half of them died mainly the ones that were in sandy soil. Pictures are from when I first planet them.

Three are doing ok, one died and one is struggling. In retrospect, I wish I had ordered the taller stonecrop, which have always done well in that same garden bed.
