Cephalanthus Sugar Shack® Description
Check out those flowers! Though it looks impossibly exotic, Sugar Shack® buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis) is actually a very easy to grow North American native shrub. In summer, it’s covered in these amazing spherical flowers and emits a delightful sweet scent (a bit like honey) on to the warm air. After the blooms fade, spherical red seed pods take their place for more color and interest. That’s one of the reasons Proven Winners selected this special shrub; the other is its very landscape-friendly size that makes it perfect for native plant gardens, pollinator plantings, or any landscaping. You’ll love its super glossy foliage too!
