Coreopsis 'Ladybird' Description

Non-fading blooms on mildew-resistant foliage goes all summer in profusion! Ultra hardy to Zone 5

This new coreopsis has never looks so elegant as with this dwarf variety growing 12" tall and wide.  Masses of bright velvety red blooms with yellow highlights. Heavily floriferous all summer blooming for 4 months or more on top of airy, ferny foliage. Still blooming in October!

One of the problems plaguing coreopsis (even new ones) is dreaded powdery mildew.  We are pleased to repeat that the foliage is a bright healthy green all season and shows no hint of mildew.

How does Ladybird compare to other red coreopsis?  1) Lots more blooms on ultra compact habit. 2) Not as open or lanky. Compact and low growing perennial groundcover loves a sunny spot in the garden. This butterfly magnet is unpalatable to deer and flowers continuously for months!

Coreopsis thrive in full sun and well drained soil. It doesn't mind heat or humidity! Makes an excellent "thriller" plant for container gardening.

Special features: Blooms first year, Attracts butterflies, Cold hardy, Color change, Deer resistant, Easy care, Fast growing, Heat tolerant, Long blooming, Reblooming, Season extender
