Designing with ice plants
Ice plants get their name from the tiny, glistening, crystal-like glands that cover their succulent leaves. Between this charming feature and their tropical-colored blooms, you'll want to plant them where you can enjoy them. They work nicely in rock gardens, along pathways, bordering walkways or driveways, or in any sunny spot that rarely gets water. Also try mixing them with other hardy succulents in a container.
