Delosperma congestum 'Gold Nugget' - ice plant Description
Delosperma is a drought tolerant groundcover that never gets thirsty! It is at home in poor soil including gravel as long as it is sharply drained.
Apple-green, succulent evergreen foliage is 2" tall and topped by masses of 1" wide, bright yellow flowers from late spring thru fall.
Hardy Ice Plant Delosperma has no serious insect or disease problems in addition to being deer & drought proof.
Allow plants to completely dry out between watering. Avoid planting in cold, wet conditions and heavy soil.
Adaptable succulent for shallow container gardening. Ideal in rock gardens, crevices or a sunny pebbly border edge. Use a gravel mulch only.
Perfect for planting at the base of sedums, ornamental grass or KnockOut Roses.

PLANTING GUIDE
Soil: Dry, sharply-drained soils in full sun. This plant will grow poorly, or die in any soil that is not well-drained. Avoid clay soils that has not been amended. Tolerates average to lean soils including sandy and gravelly ones.
Light: Full sun
Water: Water sparingly during the growing season. Plants have good tolerance for heat and drought.
Spacing: 1.00 to 2.00 feet
Fertilizing: Need little to no fertilizing
Winterizing: North of USDA Zones 7, it is at best semi-evergreen and is not reliably winter hardy. They should be sited in dry sheltered locations and given winter protection.
Maintenance & pruning: No pruning needed. Once established, can divide clumps in spring, or grow from stem cuttings.Reviews
