Ideas and How-to's

Soil: Dry, sharply-drained soils in full sun. This plant will grow poorly, or die in any soil that is not well-drained. Avoid clay soils that has not been amended. Tolerates average to lean soils including sandy and gravelly ones.
Light: Full sun
Water: Water sparingly during the growing season. Plants have good tolerance for heat and drought.
Spacing: 1.00 to 2.00 feet
Fertilizing: Need little to no fertilizing
Winterizing: North of USDA Zones 7, it is at best semi-evergreen and is not reliably winter hardy. They should be sited in dry sheltered locations and given winter protection.
Maintenance & Pruning: No pruning needed. Once established, can divide clumps in spring, or grow from stem cuttings.
