Hydrangea Endless Summer® Bloomstruck® Description
Bloomstruck™ hydrangea is the newest addition to the Endless Summer® collection of reblooming hydrangea, and does it ever live up to its reputation of endless blooms and more!
BloomStruck™ blooms on both old and new wood . This is important because: 1) it will bloom for everyone 2) Little or no pruning is needed 3) You have a blooming machine since it is constantly pushing out new flower heads.
This shade loving hydrangea is a cross between Endless Summer (mophead) and Twist 'n' Shout (lacecap) which has resulted in more shoots, creating a mass of flower display on both old and new wood.
The mophead flowers measure 4-5" across. As with other hydrangea, their color can be pink, purple or blue, depending on the soil pH. Grows 3-4' high and 4-5' wide.
What makes this hydrangea a standout is the glossy dark green leaves and compact, rounded spreading habit.
The dark green leaves takes on a stunning burgundy red color in fall, blending beautifully with its red stems.
BloomStruck™ hydrangea begins to bloom in early summer, and repeats its flower show in the fall. Their colorful flowerheads make wonderful cut flowers where they'll often last over 2 weeks in a vase.
This shade loving flowering shrub makes the perfect long-blooming hedge plant for driveways or fence lines. It is also a superb companion to the drought-proof ornamental grasses, late-blooming sedums, and long-blooming KnockOut roses.
Hydrangeas are continuing to take the flowering shrub world by storm. They are widely adaptable to both clay and sandy soil provided they are given copious amounts of water during the prolonged summer dry spells.

Soil: Average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Mulch to conserve moisture, and buffer soil temperatures.
Generally, a soil pH below 5.0 results in deep, vivid blues, and as the pH rises, the flowers range from blue to lavender to mauve to a vivid deep pink at pH 7.0 (neutral). The pH determines the availability of aluminum in the soil; this element is more readily available in acid soils, and this availability results in the blue flower color. Since phosphorus ties up aluminum in soils, using a fertilizer low in this nutrient will aid in attaining blue flowers. If pink flowers are desired and your soil is acid, simply add lime to raise the pH and use a balanced fertilizer. Aluminum sulfate will lower pH if blue flowers are desired.
Light: Most varieties tolerate full sun in the north, but benefit from afternoon shade. In the south, plants require afternoon shade. Tolerates full sun only if grown with consistent moisture. Intolerant of drought, with foliage tending to decline considerably in dry conditions
Water: Water to keep soil moist, but not wet.
Fertilizing: Fertilize once in spring with a fertilizer designed to encourage blooms (such as 15-30-15).
Winterizing: Remove and destroy any fallen foliage that was infected by powdery mildew. Because this hydrangea blooms on new growth, it typically flowers normally, even if the twigs have been killed back by frost.
Maintenance & pruning: This variety blooms on both old and new wood. Any pruning should be done before August (to be safe) so forming flower buds for the following year are not damaged. Remove some of the oldest stems at ground level to thin out the shrub as needed. In spring, only prune out dead wood once the new growth has emerged. Young plants may be transplanted when dormant in early spring.

Truly Tested Rebloomer w/Stunning Color Transitions Pink, Blue, Deep Purple & Looong LastingAllen H West | Oct 23, 2017Field Tested over 3 years and genetically confirmed as Rebloomer Remontant by top breeders in country. This was the #1 survivor during extreme winters. If your tired of Rebloom failure living in northern climate this is about the best your going to do short of a panicle. Masses of blooms meeting it's name BLOOMSTRUCK. Been gardening 50 years and this and the Vanilla Strawberry Panicle Tree/Shrub are true winners IMO.
Wonderful plants.Kristen DeP | Jun 30, 2015I just wanted to thank you for the amazing and beautiful, excellent quality plants I received from you. The front of my home faces northand I can never find beautiful shade plants in my local nurseries. The only mildly interesting plants I could ever find were Hostas. That is,until I find your website! I was so shocked that so many beautiful plants and flowers were available for shade! I've ordered plants online before and have always been disappointed. Ieither receive bare root plants that are dead by the time I receive them, or they're packaged so badly they arrive crushed and mangled, or they're so tiny they rarely take and when they do it takes forever to grow into something you can see. I was so shocked and surprised how beautiful the plants were that you shipped me! They were packaged really well, they were established, they were moist and in awesome condition! Thank you so much for providing such quality plants! You have earned yourself a customer for life! Keep up the great work and know that your efforts are appreciated. I feel it's important to let companies know when they're doing a great job and you guys are doing a STELLAR job. (And I've told ALL my friends and neighbors about your site!)

I can;t wait too spread the word to my plant-loving friends about your business, and I canl' wait to order again! THANK YOU!!!!
