Hydrangea Tiny Tuff Stuff™ Description

Enjoy beautiful hydrangea flowers? Consider adding some dainty blooms for something a little different. Exotic looking hydrangea flower heads stay closed but surrounded by florets that form a ring around the center. Extremely bud hardy so you can depend on blooms year after year. Delicate lacy blooms with pump out color from June thru August. The color may range from pale blue to pink - such delicate, timeless shades for a refined garden. Pink blooms will turn blue with the right PH level of 4.5 - 5.0 which means simply adding aluminum sulfate to get the the blue color on these flowering beauties. Tiny Tuff Stuff blooms on both old and new wood which means no pruning is required on this dainty hydrangea. You may prune to shape the plant, and this can be done immediately after flowering. Compact at only 18-24", and so easy to tuck into a shady spot where bigger hydrangeas just won't do.

Add a unique look in containers! Make sure you keep your pots moist and fertilized so they stay in prime shape throughout the season.

Personalize your garden with this little beauty. This group of hydrangea were formerly called Lacecap hydrangeas, and are now called Mountain hydrangeas.

Hydrangeas enjoy moist but well drained soil, and some sun each day. Many people think of hydrangea as shade plants, but they look and flower best with at least four hours of sun, ideally in the morning. Hydrangeas have shallow roots so require plenty of water, especially when getting established in your garden. A 2-3 inch layer of mulch is a useful addition to any planting.

Hydrangeas are continuing to take the flowering shrub world by storm. They are widely adaptable to both clay and sandy soil provided they are given copious amounts of water during the prolonged summer dry spells.

Special features: Cut flower, Dried flower, Easy care, Fast growing, Heat tolerant, Long blooming, Moisture tolerant, Multi-seasonal interest
