Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

It’s looking good. I received it in the mail but I’m not yet ready to plant it in the ground yet. I just bumped it up in a slightly bigger pot. I have no previous experience with climbing hydrangeas. Hopefully it likes where ever I end up planting it.

Beautiful, pretty good size and healthy! I immediately placed it in the ground and is already taking off next to the umbrella trellis I got for her. She’s going to be an absolute beauty. Thank you for a great and fast service. I’ll definitely come back for more❤️
I purchased 4 of these same climbing hydrangeas in 2017 from a different retailer. Wish I had seen them here for $24.99 first! It took a couple of years to get rolling, but now they are spectacular on my East fence city garden. I added nine foot trellises since my fence could only be 6 feet tall and cemented them 1 foot from the fence. Now it's like the "secret garden" back there all summer long. Couldn't be more pleased!
I loved the climbing hydrangea. They arrived in very good condition. I planted them the day they arrived. I kept them in more shade than the SE, Texas sun.
Four made it and two died. Texas weather got the best of them, I think.
