Hydrangea Everlasting® Revolution Description

Striking REBLOOMING Hydrangea with multicolored blooms is a crown jewel in color & performance!

The Everlasting® Series of Hydrangeas are known for their strong colors, handsome foliage, and long lasting flowers.  You get to enjoy a medley of color at one time. As flowers age they change from one color to another. Enjoy many colors at one time as each flower lasts for months and growing 12-24" high and wide.

This hydrangea is a blooming revolution!  Strong stems give way to flowers on both old and new wood, making sure it blooms for everyone.  The flowers transition to eye-catching combinations of deep pink, maroon, and true blue with green highlights added as they age.  A flowering shrub that offers months of blooming enjoyment.

How to Grow

  • Hydrangeas enjoy moist but well drained soil and some sun each day. Many people think of Hydrangea as shade plants, but they look and flower best with at least 4 hours of sun, ideally in the morning. Hydrangeas have shallow roots so require plenty of water especially as they are getting established in your garden. A 2-3 inch layer of mulch is a useful addition to any planting.
  • Soil ph affects flower color.  Add aluminum sulfate for blue color.
  • No pruning required.

Designing with Hydrangea

Add a unique look in containers! Make sure you keep your pots extra moist & fertilized so they stay in prime shape throughout the season.

Add groundcovers such as low growing shade loving Ornamental Grasses such as a low growing Carex Evergold or Bowles Golden.  Plant Festuca or Carex Blue Zinger for an all blue garden or let fast growing Galium Sweet Woodruff ramble throughout the bed as a mulch substitute.

Use taller Hydrangeas as a background planting. Best when grouping in 3-5. Climbing Roses such as shade tolerant Zepherine Drouhin Rose adds a romantic touch to any setting.  Group with free flowering Azalea Bloom-a-Thon.

Silver or white flowering plants such as Brunnera Jack Frost, Clematis White Ball.

Hydrangeas are continuing to take the flowering shrub world by storm. They are widely adaptable to both clay and sandy soil provided they are given copious amounts of water during the prolonged summer dry spells.
