Soil: Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil. Thrives in dry soils, and is very drought tolerant.
Light: Full sun to part shade -- Full sun is best in the North. Somewhat intolerant of the heat and humidity of the deep South, and appreciates some afternoon shade in hot climates.
Water: Dry to medium
Spacing: 2 - 3 feet
Fertilizing: Even in average soil, needs almost no fertilizer. If you wish the plant to grow faster, apply a granular rose fertilizer in early spring.
Winterizing: Nothing special required.
Maintenance & pruning: Nothing special required. May be trimmed in spring if desired, but this is not necessary.
