Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Ornamental grasses are invaluable additions to the landscape, but we don’t think they get enough credit. They rustle in the breeze, produce plumes of flowers, and add interest through the winter. What’s not to love? No matter the unique landscape goal, these ornamental grasses are approved by Great Garden Plants horticulturists to be a great addition to your garden.
Will orderbfrom you again. Plantsbwere a great size , healthy and are doing very well.
Growing well. It is the star of my patio-pots garden!

The grasses I purchased have not grown to 24” tall or wide. I’m hoping that they are not done growing this year and for better results from them next year.
Hello! When transplanting young plants from a nursery pot to a garden, the plant allocates more energy to root development instead of shoot development (above ground). It's important for them to develop a robust root system so they can actually absorb the nutrients and water in the soil around them. Then after their root system is more developed they'll invest in their shoots development. They generally spend their first year growing roots in their new home, the second year they have more energy to put into growth, and the third year, they are growing and flowering vigorously. This applies to plants in the garden center as well as plants you purchase online. We hope this helps. Happy Gardening!
The plants arrived golden brown , I transplanted them and watered according to the directions. I have given them a lot of attention and have come to the conclusion that they are truly dead and probably were upon arrival I would like my money back I ordered one Hamelin grass from Amazon and it arrived in good health and it was green. I transplanted it and it is doing well. The grasses you sent me were probably dead at the time of packaging . This is not a good way to conduct business. This is my honest feed back , Patsy B
