Sedum cauticola Lidakense Description

Sedum cauticola Lidakense is a no-pamper drought proof ground cover that is colorful, functional, easy to grow and only 3 inches tall!

Beautiful mounds of powdery blue, succulent foliage flourishes in poor, dry soil rarely needing sip of water.  Pink broccoli-like flowers mature to deeper hues as the season wanes and beckons the butterflies from late summer to fall.

Tough-as-nails sedums can be used for edging, pathways, rock garden, containers, small spaces, live roofs, or retaining walls.

This semi- evergreen sedum is the perfect companion to fragrant coneflowers, long-blooming KnockOut rose, and drought proof daylilies.<

Easy to grow in poor soil with excellent drainage, sedums are a sun loving ground cover that happily embraces the heat, humidity and most importantly, long dry spells. Low growing sedums are the best sun perennial container plant for hot sunny decks since they don't mind dry spells and will not fail you if you are gone for the weekend.

Special features: Attracts butterflies, Cold hardy, Deer resistant, Drought tolerant, Easy care, Foliage interest, Heat tolerant, Winter interest

Soil: Average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils. Thrives in sandy to gravelly soils of moderate to low fertility.  Needs sharp soil drainage to perform well. Prefers moist soils with good drainage.
Light: Does best in full sun, but appreciates some protection from harsh sun and heat exposure in very hot summer regions.
Water: Medium to dry -- Considered drought-tolerant once established. Over watering will impair growth.
Spacing: 1 - 2 ft.
Fertilizing: On average soil, seldom needs fertilizer. A handful of all-purpose granular fertilizer sprinkled on the soil each spring is generally all that is needed for poorer soils. If growing in rich soil, it should only be fertilized every other year. Dry granular fertilizers must be watered into the soil.
Winterizing: Does not need mulch in the winter. Remove the debris (such as the remains of showy sedums) from under and around your plants in the late fall and continue to remove any debris as it accumulates. Small animals and bugs may take home in accumulated debris during cold weather.
Maintenance & pruning: Can cut back in Autumn, after flowering. Divide in spring.

Just wanted to say my plant order came today and they are all planted and are just beautiful. The ones I ordered last fall made it thru our harsh winter and are growing good, I appreciate the time you take to package them.
