Sedum Sunsparkler® 'Wildfire' Description

Wildfire Sedum boasts shiny cherry-red thumbnail-sized leaves with hot pink variegation from early spring thru last hard killing frost in late fall.

This drought-proof groundcover scrambles effortlessly across hot, dry, well-drained soil.  An ideal low maintenance groundcover in poor soil and delights in hot sun, heat & humidity. The more heat & bright sun, the better the color!

SunSparkler® sedum  Wildfire grows only 6" high forming many multiple branches from a single stem filling in nicely and  quickly forming a mound 18" wide.  In late summer rose pink blooms last for nearly 4 weeks.

SunSparkler® sedum Wildfire is a sport of sedum Firecracker.  This new hardy, groundcover sedum boasts all the same vigor and is a brilliant addition anywhere in a sunny spot in the garden or container!

Wildfire sedum is easy to grow and a great drought proof groundcover. Full sun will give it the most brilliant color. 'Wildfire' needs full sun to develop the rich, bright red foliage, less than full sun will produce a greener leaf with pink edges.

Soil: Average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Thrives in sandy to gravelly soils of moderate to low fertility.  Needs sharp soil drainage to perform well. Prefers moist soils with good drainage.
Light: Does best in full sun to partial shade
Water: Medium to dry -- Considered drought-tolerant once established. Over watering will impair growth.
Spacing: 12" - 18"
Fertilizing: On average soil, seldom needs fertilizer. A handful of all-purpose granular fertilizer sprinkled on the soil each spring is generally all that is needed for poorer soils. If growing in rich soil, it should only be fertilized every other year. Dry granular fertilizers must be watered into the soil.
Winterizing: Does not need mulch in the winter. Dried flower heads of many varieties remain attractive in winter, whether left standing in the garden or brought indoors. Remove the debris (such as the remains of showy sedums) from under and around your plants in the late fall and continue to remove any debris as it accumulates. Small animals and bugs may take home in accumulated debris during cold weather.
Maintenance & pruning: Easy to trim to keep the size you want. Divide or take cuttings at any time.

These plants were part of my order and were definitely not the same quality of the other plants. They were very small, sparse, fragile plants and they were the most expensive. I am very disappointed

Great Sedum

Just wanted to say my plant order came today and they are all planted and are just beautiful. The ones I ordered last fall made it thru our harsh winter and are growing good, I appreciate the time you take to package them.
