Crocosmia 'Lucifer' Description
Crocosmias fiery red blooms and unique vase shaped form make this charming sun perennial an excellent choice for the garden. They are at home in a moisture retentive soil in sun to shade. Bright arching green sword-like leaves give way to abundant flame red 2" wide red flowers that flare out like a trumpets in mid-summer crocosmia is an excellent choice for hot borders, near boulders, or tuck between shrubs. Cut flowers are like eye-candy in an arrangement. Grows up to 3 feet tall. We plant 3 corms (bulbs) per pot.

PLANTING GUIDE
Soil: Average to medium, well-drained soil
Light: Full sun to part shade.
Water: Water regularly until established. Spacing: 1 - 2 ft.
Fertilizing: Fertilize in spring with a balance fertilizing.
Winterizing: Plants are not reliably hardy in Zone 5. (We winter in Michigan in protected sites). Dig up corm plants in fall and store in a dry location (similar to handling gladiolus bulbs)
