Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Arrived in good condition. Growing well
Plants arrived well packaged. Good size. Looked very healthy.
I've had one issue so far: Deer (assumed, maybe rabbits) attacked the plants shortly after they were planted. Trying a few things. So far no other damage. Hoping they will survive.
I planted two of these last spring. They were pretty and bloomed last summer. But this year - WOW! They are gorgeous! They bloomed early spring and haven't stopped. They are full and the blooms are dark and just beautiful. We had some friends over recently that also commented on how pretty they are. I plan to order more, they have been a wonderful addition to our gardens.
never received plant
Hi Michael! If you email claims@greatgardenplants.com with your order number, we will be happy to help locate your order!
These plants came well packaged, a good size - 10-12” tall - and healthy. I had to wait about a week to plant them, but kept them in the sun, and well watered. I’m still watering them everyday because they are on the south side of the house and get sun all day long. They are growing and two have new blooms on them. I’ve had very good results with plants from Great Garden Plants. This is my third or fourth order.
