Syringa Dream Cloud Description

Enjoy soft dreamy color, lavish blooms & heady perfume of a classic lilac border in spring.

Lilac or Syringa are staples of the garden with their large showy clusters, intoxicating fragrance,  & superb hardiness. This spring flowering deer & drought proof shrub forms an attractive shape growing 4-5' tall and wide and can be used in mixed borders, specimens, hedge plants or urban gardens.

Dream Cloud boasts exra large panicles measuring 12" long x 9" wide which are loved by butterflies!  Fluffy panicles of pink flowers smothering the plant when in full bloom in early spring. It's alluring fragrance will permeate your entire garden. Plant near an area where you can be appreciate the fragrance - such as near a front entryway, patio or along a path.

Make sure to cut a few for indoor bouquets as they make great cut flowers and make sure to prune right after flowering so it has time to set next year's buds.

A must for the spring garden. Even in summer, handsome foliage provide a pleasing background to small shrubs and perennials and turns a rich purple color in fall.

Highly resistant to powdery mildew and other diseases that often plague Lilacs, this easy care-heat tolerant shrub low maintenance choice for the fragrant garden

Introduced by Plants Nouveau.

Designing with Lilac

To get the most out its fragrance, plant in groups of 3 or more and place where you can enjoy their fragrance.  After blooming, they can be easily pruned to shape into hedges. Use as a background plant in a mixed perennial border.  Pair with other spring bloomers such as Azaleas, Fothergilla.  Combine with Ornamental Grasses such as Miscanthus, or group a cluster of Knock Out Roses in their design.
