Veronica 'Wizard of Ahhs' Description
Magic Show Wizard of Ahhs veronica from Proven Winners will amaze you! Densely packed spikes of bright blue-violet flowers bring stunning color to the garden. Beautiful paired with other intense colors or crisp white!
Veronica or speedwell brings a vertical accent to your garden or a splash of great color to containers. This new Veronica is a mound forming perennial with broad lance-shaped green leaves that stay handsome throughout the season. Plants produce plump dark violet-blue spikes that are carried on very densely packed spikes resulting in an incredible almost magic show lasting from summer-fall. The tapering and plump long lasting spikes of Wizard of Ahhs is truly an improvement over older varieties of Veronica which are not as colorful or as dense in habit.
Blooms begin to open from the bottom of the spikes upward in early June and bloom well into late summer or fall if spent blooms are removed. Growing only 14" tall and spreading 18" wide, this long blooming perennial attracts bees & butterflies to the garden and thrives in sun to part shade. Delightful and long lasting as a cut flower.
Veronica pair well with daisy-type plants or broad foliage plants and is well-suited near the front of the border.

PLANTING GUIDE
Soil: Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil.
Light: Full sun or light shade. .
Water: Best performance occurs with consistent, regular moisture with sharp soil drainage (particularly in winter).
Spacing: 15-18"
Fertilizing: Feed with a general purpose slow release fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.
Winterizing: Cut back to basal growth in late autumn.
Maintenance & pruning: Removing faded blooms encourages rebloom. Cut back fade spikes to the new growth at their base. This improves their appearance.Reviews
