Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. This particular plant was larger and at least healthier than the other plants in the same shipment.
Everything was really shaken about in the containers a lot of dirt and Roots dislodged and this particular item had a couple of broken branches on it.
As for the size of the plant I was very pleased some of the other items I received were much smaller than what I expected.
