Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Milkweed plays a vital role in the Monarch butterfly lifecycle, serving as a host plant for monarch caterpillars. Without milkweed, we wouldn't have Monarchs.
Cinderella Swamp milkweed arrived in great condition and grew to 2ft in less than 2 months. To my amazement, I just discovered about 5 monarch caterpillars of various sizes munching away! Hopefully chrysalis and on to a butterflies. I will be ordering more swamp milkweed! Thank you to Great Garden Plants for supporting monarchs!
I planted them with a small handful of fertilizer for starting plants and waited. They didn't come up. I've spend a lot of money on plants that didn't survive.

I planted this back in late April, and over the last few weeks, we have gotten so many caterpillars! I have 10 safely in a butterfly habitat as crystalsts and we just released 2 today. Its been a fantastic addition to my pollinator garden and fun for me and my sons. I keep finding more eggs and caterpillars each day.
Growing well and tall. No flowers yet. Figure it may not have any the first season?
Plants arrived in great shape. After a month in the ground they have doubled in size and are very healthy. Highly recommend buying from this seller.
