How to Grow

Soil: Dry, well-drained soil is essential. This plant will grow poorly or die in soil that is not well-drained. Tolerates average to lean soils, including sandy and gravelly ones.
Light: Full sun
Water: Water sparingly during the growing season. Plants have a good tolerance for heat and drought.
Spacing: 1-2'
Fertilizing: Needs little to no fertilizing.
Winterizing: North of USDA Zones 7, it is at best semi-evergreen and is not reliably winter hardy. They should be situated in dry, sheltered locations and given winter protection.
Maintenance & Pruning: No pruning is needed. Once established, it can divide clumps in spring or grow from stem cuttings.
