More Information

Description The brilliant orange flowers on Orange Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa or butterfly weed) bloom continuously through the summer, serving as a beacon for pollinators! These flowers will have your garden buzzing, especially with Monarch butterflies. Clusters of flowers stand tall above green, lance-shaped leaves. Flowers give way to milkweed seed pods, which are filled with silky, wind-dispersed seeds. This native perennial is easy to grow, deer resistant, and drought-tolerant, making it a great choice for any gardener! Maintenance is a breeze, and it is generally disease-free. Bad bunnies

Loved my plants, good size and perfect condition. Did very well for over 3 weeks then the rabbits ate every one. I’m so 😠

Very frustrating packaging

The plants arrived in good shape but it was very difficult to get them out of the boxes, and after that to get the surrounding plastic, which was stapled to the top of each pot and held very tight around the stem with plastic straps, off.

Not for caterpillars

The plants came in good condition, but they should not be used to feed the caterpillars as they are deadly for them.

Milk weed gone wrong!

This place sold me 3 Milk Weed plants. They arrived "crispy" and when we planted them, they DIED! This place is a great place to spend your money and not get anything in return. Bottom line is, this place is a HUGE SCAM! They love taking the money and when you try to resolve it, they offer 30% off (for inconvenience) and keep your money. They are in it for a "money grab", DO NOT BUY FROM GREAT GARDENS. This is all my opinion, BUT my opinion is THEY suck and I would NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone.

Arrived dehydrated and dried out leaves

The plants arrived completely dehydrated. I watered them and kept them in shade and very slowly new growth has appeared on all but one. They are growing extremely slowly which has not been my previous experience with this milkweed. Would not order from here again.
