Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Ornamental grasses are invaluable additions to the landscape, but we don’t think they get enough credit. They rustle in the breeze, produce plumes of flowers, and add interest through the winter. What’s not to love? No matter the unique landscape goal, these ornamental grasses are approved by Great Garden Plants horticulturists to be a great addition to your garden.
Plants arrived yesterday. I unpackaged immediately. They looked a bit dry so I watered immediately and let them sit overnight. This morning they have their arms raised and are singing praises! Yes, they are small but 1 qt. size will be time to watch them grow and flourish. Will plant in 24 to 48, as per instructions.
arrived quite small but it is growing nicely in its fist summer!
So far everything looks dead, despite excellent care and decent weather. Grass is usually pretty easy to grow. I'm very disappointed.

One rose plant and the grass were dead when I received them, the store was helpful and replaced them, but the replacement arrived dead also so that is why the middle of the road rating. Had good customer service, but poor quality plants. I paid for three plants but only have one good one out of five!!!
We are so sorry to hear about your experience with this plant! If you have not done so please make sure to reach out again to our customer service team claims@greatgardenplants.com.
Hi,I ordered 7 plants. I had hi hopes for these plants. 1 was almost dead when I got it. The rest looked like they were struggling but hopeful. I followed directions for acclimation and keeping soil moist before planting. 4 more died before I got them into the ground. Of the 2 planted. I is looking promising. The other is still struggling. I feel like you need to put a stronger root system on the plants before sending out. Not worth $78.00
