The dynamic deep red blooms of 'Charisma' amaryllis (Hippeastrum) are adorned with pink brushstrokes and white speckling, adding so much dimension to each petal. But it's not just beautiful, 'Charisma' also received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Because amaryllis bulbs bloom in winter, they make wonderful Christmas gifts.
Great Garden Plants is proud to offer significantly larger amaryllis bulbs than those found at garden centers, with 8-10 massive flowers per bulb! Plant amaryllis in a container that is at least 6 inches in diameter with at least 2 inches of potting soil. Set in the pot and pack soil around the roots, covering ⅔ of the bulb. Water deeply, place in a sunny location, and continue to water once a week.
