Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Really hoping these bloom in year 3….I’m in MA, zone 5b. If no blooms next year, I will probably replace them.

This time we ordered 3 Tator Tots, 2 dwarf Hydrangea and 1 Dream Dazzler Stonecrop. All plants were perfect upon arrival, as all previous orders have been.
I have recommended Great Garden Plants to many people, and will continue to do so. Thank you for your great plants!
2 years ago we lost many perennials during a flood. I have started to replenish my flower beds this year. Ordered from several grower. Great Garden Plants are by far the the most developed and healthiest of all the catalog growers I used this spring.
Everything I have bought from them look great and are establishing themselves. Other growers plants are growing but behind in there development
Your plants were packaged well and we were able to remove them without damage. We got them into the ground right away and they are now growing well. This includes the coral bells and coneflowers as well. We tell you how they look in the spring.
The plant arrived in great shape and I am excited to see the blooms next year!
