The thick foliage and double red flowers from ‘Double Dragon’ amaryllis (Hippeastrum) add drama to any indoor container. While the deep red flowers are already stunning as is, the ruffled petals also feature a small white margin. Because amaryllis bulbs will bloom in the winter, they make a wonderful Christmas gift for loved ones, or yourself!
Great Garden Plants is proud to offer significantly larger amaryllis bulbs than those found at garden centers, with 8-10 massive flowers per bulb! Plant amaryllis in a container that is at least 6 inches in diameter with at least 2 inches of potting soil. Set in the pot and pack soil around the roots, covering ⅔ of the bulb. Water deeply, place in a sunny location, and continue to water once a week.
