Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

We apologize that you received plants that are not up to our standards. While we try our best to provide exceptional service, some factors, like shipping and handling, are outside our control, and issues like this can sometimes happen. Please email pictures of the plants to firstname.lastname@example.org, making sure to put your order number and name in the subject line so that we may provide the best assistance possible. Rest assured, we have a 60-day guarantee on all our plants. If you received your plants within that time frame, we would be happy to apply your warranty once we receive the pictures. Happy Gardening!
I purchased them in fall of 2022. They both died within a few months, unfortunately. I thought they were perennials? They never really took off after I planted them and slowly just died. I planted them in a sunny area, next to my yarrow, chocolate cosmos, and rose bush and they are all doing great so I know they should have survived. Oh well, you win some you lose some! I think most of my plants from this company are really healthy and do thrive.
Hello! We're sorry to hear that you had trouble with your Firecracker Bush. These plants are hardy in zones 8-10. Meaning they do come back each year in these zones. We do guarantee all of our plants. However, our fall warranty expired May 31. We're always happy to do our best to make things right. If you'd like to touch base with our customer service team, you can do so by emailing email@example.com. Happy Gardening!
The plants arrived three weeks ago in somewhat dry but otherwise excellent condition. We watered immediately and then planted 48 hours after receiving the shipment. The plants have taken nicely with no loss of foliage even after the stress of shipping and replanting. We are awaiting the first sign of blooms emerging.
Four out of the six ordered are doing well and even have some flowers. The other 2 are not dead but more like the runts of the litter , I hope they start to improve and grow . I love the Estrellita Little Star™ Firecracker Bush and will add to our property.
