Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

I am so thrilled with the delivery and products from Great Garden. As a first time buyer, I was relieved to see they took such great care in the shipping of 11 plants, all were in fantastic health, and exactly as described. They’ve been planted for several weeks now and all doing great. I am so happy and plan to purchase quite a bit from them for the summer season. Thank you so much!
I absolutely love the color and love this plant
It arrived in beautiful condition! You know how to pack a plant!
So far so good, I hope they take hold and survive the winter.
I was at the very end of the recommended planting window when I impulse-ordered this quart hydrangea, then our area was hit with torrential rain, soaking the ground while the plant waited on the porch. We planted and crossed our fingers, and the plant is thriving! New leaf, spreading out, shooting up, and feeling fine apparently:) So happy my first experience in my new home was so positive!
I love this little hydrangea. It arrived very healthy and with one little bloom on it already! I followed the planting instructions and got it in the ground a couple days after it arrived. I can't wait until more blooms appear! Thank you!
