Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

One of my plants came out of the pot in transit and has subsequently died. I expect that to be replaced so no harm done. I don't know how they could possible package them better given all the jostling / tossing that the package undergoes en route!
Can't say much about the plants yet, they are tiny and only in the ground for about a month now. They look okay tho!
We apologize that you received plants that are not up to our standards. While we try our best to provide exceptional service, some factors, like shipping and handling, are outside our control, and issues like this can sometimes happen. Please email pictures of the plants to firstname.lastname@example.org, making sure to put your order number and name in the subject line so that we may provide the best assistance possible. If you received your plants within that timeframe, we would happily apply your warranty once we receive the pictures. Happy Gardening!
Pretty but small and pricey, and two of the five I ordered didn’t survive once in the ground. If I can find them locally, I will not order again.

Plants arrived in good condition. All are thriving. Highly recommend!
Not so much a review for the plants, although they are doing just fine. But, 1 of the plants was damaged in shipping and it was replaced promptly w/o question...truly gracious customer service!
My original order was delivered with Jazz Hands missing. Called customer service and was advised they would be delivered soon. Received three weeks later. Two were healthy but dry and one was turning brown. Babied all three, two survived and 1 never recovered. Always had great plants from Great Gardens so they are entitled to one mistake.
