Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

The Plants from Great Garden Plants were well taken care of before they arrived here. Also the way they were packed kept them safe during their travels. With such a great start, I expect to enjoy many years of their colorful presence in my yard.
Was delighted that the plant was bigger than I expected. Really pleased with how fast it is growing and already has one tiny bloom starting to show. I purchased three other plant varieties from you and they are also doing great. I am sure that I will become a repeat customer. Great prices, great delivery time, and great plants .
So far so good, amid the terrible heat: all 4 red hot pokers are hanging in there. I've been using styrofoam sheets to try to protect them somewhat and I think that has made a difference. 2 of them have new blooms! A long ways to go with August coming on. Still impressed with how well you all packaged them for mailing. Thanks, Steve
Plants were in good health, and were of good size!
Love the plant - it actually had a little poker on it and is doing well
