Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

These plants are smaller then I imagined they would be! They’ve been in the ground about two weeks and are growing thank god! Will see how they are in a month!
We're happy to hear you're enjoying your new plants! The important thing when it comes to purchasing plants, whether online or in a garden center, is that they have a full, robust root system, and that's what we prioritize in our growing. The more roots a plant has, the more energy it can put into growing once it is planted in your garden.
Healthly plant, ready to bloom in record time. Thanks for “ the lift”.
Plants are great, but the packaging is difficult to get into and difficult to fold up for the garbage or recycling. There are plastic bags around the plastic cups holding the plants that are stapled onto the cups; they are difficult to remove, and the staple makes it impossible to remove them from the cups. The cardboard is incredibly strong and most difficult to break down for recycling. The plants are fine; the packaging most difficult
We are so glad that the plants you received were satisfactory. We appreciate the feedback on the packaging of our plants. We try our best to ensure that the plants will arrive in the best condition as possible which sometimes means sacrificing the ease of opening the plants initially. That being said, we will take your feedback into consideration in the future as we develop new ways to package plants.
Love the color of this, more of a dusty rose. Also much shorter than other Bee Balm and more compact!
