Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

I ordered two of the Sun Mouse Hosta's and they are doing great. They have been in the ground for awhile and have put on some new growth already. They are a cute miniature size Hosta, their bright green color really makes a great addition to my shade garden
I thought the plant would be bigger and in better shape. I have been giving it extra care but it isn’t growing much. I have purchased a lot of plants from you and they are doing great even with the heat.

Very happy with the sun mouse hostas. They are all doing well.
These little guys came in looking great. Planted them right away and they are doing great!
A few weeks ago, I ordered 14 blue mouse ears hostas. I was so pleased. They were so healthy, I decided to order two sun mouse hostas and 4 ruby stella daylillies.
Pleased with the daylillies but not the hostas. The hosta pots were soggy. Shipped with way too much water. The hostas were uprooted and the leaves are dying. I pressed the soil to push the hostas back into the soil. Water ran out the bottom of the pots and rose up out of the soil wherever I pressed the soil. I feel sure they won't survive. The blue mouse pots had two or three hostas per pot. The sun mouse has only one which is very small and the root system is very small. So disappointed. I was going to place another order today for more daylillies and hostas, now I might order the daylillies but won't order anymore hostas.
