Plant Spacing

Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:

These fellows are flagging. But, the roots seem strong and I think, with time, they will be fine. There's new growth at the base as well. No worries here.

White Wands Spike plant

Loved how these were packed. Put these into pots at my back door. They have been thriving & looking nice. Just recently started seeing the pretty white "spikes". I love these!

Not sure what to expect

I'm anxious to see if this plant pulls through. It arrived in a box with no air holes and the exterior of the box didn't mention live plant or this side up. When opening, it was absolutely waterlogged and looked like mush. A few stems were hanging in there; so, I'm hoping it makes it. I am on Day 3 and it's touch and go. Excited to see it be part of my garden.
