Black pearl coral bells

I had ordered 3 of these coral bells and they all arrived looking very healthy. I planted them all within a short amount of time and they were all thriving well. Well about a week after planting two of them started to turn brown on the outside of their leaves and then the 3rd one ended up being eaten by some sort of critter. Thankfully the critter didn't eat all of the rooting system and it is now slowly growing back. The other two are still brown leaved but I'm hoping when they come back next year they will be better.

Great plants. Great service

The packaging was good. The plants arrived on schedule and in great shape and are thriving.

We're happy to hear your new plants are thriving, Gary! Let us know if you have any questions. Happy gardening!

USDA 9 does not equate to heat zone 9

The caption says it colors up best in full sun. I live in the Houston area, zone 9, and the leaves on this one do fry in the afternoon sun. It's only very late afternoon, well past the hottest hours but it just doesn't like it. Also, you can probably tell but they should have been named "Purple Pearl". Just sayin'. Still, happy with them, but we have to be reminded sometimes, that "full sun" doesn't mean "full Houston sun".
