Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Plants arrived beautifully packaged, I was impressed. They did look a little dry. I ordered 3 of the Little Bunny, but unfortunately it looks like only one is going to make it.

I was very impressed with the packaging of Little Bunny Fountain Grass when they arrived. All plants were very healthy. The following day I planted them, against the enclosed planting/care instructions that came with the plants. It was hot weather so I allowed them only very early morning sun, then I covered them with large styrofoam cones which I purchased a few years ago in the fall at Menards. The cones came with holes in the top for ventilation, put having bought similar cones 45 years ago for roses, the instructions on those cones said to poke three 1/2" holes around the side near the top. So there was plenty of ventilation for Little Bunny. They thrived extremely well and look absolutely beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and will definitely order from Great Garden Plants again when the need arises.
I bought several grasses on buy one get one sale. Each Bunny grass had just a few green stems, one had more than the other, both are dead.
Great packaging to insure safe arrival. Plants are in spectacular condition.
Customer service is friendly, polite and extremely helpful. There was not one negative about my interaction from start to finish. Will be my go to place to order.
Since I’m planting perennials in the fall this year, it’s too early to tell, But it seems to be growing & Little Bunny Fou-Fou has not yet gobbled it up! Always a plus.
