As seen in the "Mama Mia" ad running in magazines. Details Botanical name: Rosa x 'CHEWNICEBELL'
Patent #: USPP 26,532
Common name: Rose
Zone: 4-9
Sun exposure: Sun
Soil type: Average
Soil moisture: Average
Height x width: 1.5- 2.5' tall and wide
Flower color: Yellow and Pink
Foliage color: Green
Bloom season: Summer-fall
Uses: Accent border, Container or cottage gardening, Ground cover, Hedge, Massing.
How To Grow Soil: Prefers moist, slightly acidic, well-draining soil. Roses benefit from the addition of compost, aged manure, or leafmold to the planting soil.
Light: Sun (> 6 hours sun)
Water: Try to keep the soil evenly moist, especially in their first growing season. Never allow the foliage to remain wet into the evening; water early in the day.
Spacing: 1.5 -3 ft.
Fertilizing: To keep the flowers coming, feed your roses with a fertilizer blended especially for roses. This can be done after each bloom cycle.
Winterizing: Spread a layer of composted manure, compost, or shredded leaves over the base of the plant in late fall after the ground freezes. Covering these mounds and the lower parts of the bushes with evergreen boughs will add protection. Pull the mounding material away from the stem as new growth emerges in spring. Prune injured branches over when new buds emerge in spring.
Maintenance & pruning: Prune to remove deadwood, to control or direct growth, and to promote flowering. Wait until growth breaks in early spring before pruning. Every 2 or 3 years, remove about one-third of the old branches to stimulate new, fresh growth. There is no need to remove faded flowers because these roses are self-cleaning.

Lots of comments on this rose!

Absolutely adore this rose - it glows whether in the sun or in the early evening
I have it along the sidewalk so it gets noticed. The fragrance is light.. I do dead head and feed just to help it along. And I cover with burlap in the winter
(Zone 5a). Highly recommend

That’s wasn’t what I expected

Hello! We're sorry to hear that you're disappointed in your new rose. If you received a plant that did not arrive in excellent condition, please contact our customer service team, and attach photos of the plant, at info@greatgardenplants.com. We do offer a 60-day guarantee on all of our plants. Weather, soil type, watering, and fertilizing all contribute to plant growth. Flower color also improves once the plant establishes itself in your garden. Perhaps you're familiar with the old saying about plants: first year sleep, second year creep, third year leap. This applies to plants in the garden center as well as plants you purchase online. They generally spend their first year growing roots in their new home, the second year they have more energy to put into growth, and the third year, they are growing and flowering vigorously. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please reach out to us. We're here to help. Happy Gardening!

Glorious!

First year and roses are blooming like crazy! I love the pinks, orange and yellow of each rose! So glad I heard about this rose from Garden Answer.

Beautiful, healthy roses

I bought twelve of the Oso Easy Italian Ice roses a year ago for our back yard garden. They continue to thrive. So after extensive hardscaping in the front, I bought 24 more for an area that was a hill but is now terraced flat by a retaining wall. Those too are thriving. We live in Northern Arizona in the high desert. Our Temps range from 15 degrees at night to above freezing during the day in winter to 50's at night to high 90's in the summer. A watering system is mandatory all year 'round. Roses, when cared for properly, thrive.

I love that these rose plants come in quarts. Yes, I can find the same roses locally, but they are only available as five gallon and cist over $60.00 per plant. Not only is that outside my budget but there is no need to buy mature plants when halfway through the summer these have natured enough to make a beautiful showing. Excellent product!
