Description
Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

I have ordered from Great Garden Plants several times and I have always received very healthy plants. I have ordered and received over a dozen different plants this year and all are in the ground and thriving!
All plants are doing great!
Plants came securely and carefully packaged. They were clipped back to stems. I allowed them to acclimatize to the container and they seemed to enjoy the location so I planted them. They are thriving beautifully. They have grown leaves and I am waiting for blooms. I hope they will over winter in the pot and come back year after year. Their foliage is very dark green and beautiful.
This was my first time I ordered from your company. My plants arrived in beautiful condition. They are looking great so far. I was so pleased that I ordered again. The only thing that disappointed me was you stopped selling the purple mazus. The rest of my order came and again in wonderful condition. I am so glad I found your website! I know I will be ordering more from you. Lots more I want. Much better plants than all those places that ship bare root plants that don't live for me. Thank you so much for my plants. Can't wait til next spring when they all bloom.
