Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. All plant spacing is calculated on center, or in other words, the centers of the plants are spaced one half of their eventual width apart:
Unless you are planting in a straight line, as you might for hedges or edging, space your plants in a staggered or zig-zag pattern for a more interesting and naturalistic look:

Arrives as young plant
It’s just barely living. Came with brown dried leaves among almost ok looking leaves. I’ve been giving it extra care and it’s gotten a few new leaves. I’ll let you know how it does.
I’m keeping 2 of 4 in planters until more mature . The plants come young and grow fast .Rabbits like the young hydrangea. I can’t wait until their first bloom. Looking good and arrived super healthy .
My shrub arrived alive. I have planted it. It has not died. I guess that sums it up. Hope is for the plant to continue to grow and look like its picture.
The plants arrived in amazing condition. Packaged like they really cared, Plants had tons of leaves and they were surround by protection.

I just received my plants. They had broken branches on both of them and much smaller plants than I would of thought especially for the price. Fingers crossed they grow.
Hello Marie - I am sure you will be surprised how fast they grow! Make sure to use a nice slow release fertilizer. I noted your concerns in your order and extended your warranty to an additional 30 days to 6/20/2020. Please let us know how they are doing by that time.
