Plant Spacing

Plant spacing is based on the ultimate width of the plants. This figure is normally given as a range; for example, 3-5’. If you live in a cold climate and/or want plants to fill in more quickly, plan to space at the shorter end of the range. If you live in a warm climate, are on a limited budget, or are willing to wait longer for plants to touch, use the higher end of the range. Using the larger number is recommended when calculating distance from a building or structure. There’s really no such thing as "maximum spacing": if you don’t want your plants to touch, you can space them as far apart as you’d like. Settling in nicely

Planted in a circle at the base of a large oak tree with a high canopy that allows sun from all angles a little while each day to help protect the trees large roots from the lawnmower and weed trimmer. They settled in immediately and began putting on new growth. We are very pleased with them.

Bunny Salad

Now that I have some chicken wire around it for a few weeks, it has bounced back from only having one leaf. Luckily I realized the rabbits had been chewing it before there was nothing left! I think it will be nice in the place I planted it, however, I wish I had known from your website description that rabbits love this particular plant. I definitely would have picked something else as we have so many rabbits in my neighborhood. The jury is still out on whether I can give it more stars. The plant arrived in excellent condition, and I was very happy to add it to my landscape, but I had to take off some stars due to it being not rabbit resistant.

I bought three last year from another vendor and wanted to add more. The area does not drain well and perennials have failed in the past. This has been a wet year and now in late June the new plants are doing well. I like the shiny on the aronia and the fact that it is evergreen. The pretty white flowers come early spring.
